What, When, Why and How... We've Got Answers

The ability to quickly find solutions to address our client's challenges is one of the things that make BCI stand out. Can I use my own inspection forms on the system?

Yes, BCI has developed an extremely efficient form conversion tool that will allow you to rapidly and cost effectively convert existing paper based inspection forms.  We also have an extensive library of forms that you will have access to upon becoming a BCI client.

What sort of reporting capabilities are there?

A number of standard reports are offered as part of your monthly subscription. In addition, unique and specific reports can be created by way of a robust reporting engine.

How easy is the system to use for my field operators?

BCI believes that effective compliance management begins with the field worker and that their buy-in is paramount. Since this user group often has a wide range of skill and comfort level with technology, the field device interface is designed to be very intuitive and extremely easy to use. Workers are often using the system productively within the first day of training.

What sort of end user support does BCI offer?

As part of system implementation, BCI offers training to both field and head office personnel. Post implementation and ongoing operation support is available through a toll free help desk weekdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm MST. Extended hours support may be available for an additional fee upon request.

I already have systems in place. Can ICMS work with those existing systems?

ICMS regularly shares information with clients existing applications. By leveraging the field interface, ICMS can often enhance the value and extend the functionality of an existing in-house system.

I don't have communications at most of my sites, how does your system handle this?

The field applications are designed to operate in a disconnected state when used in the field. All necessary task related information is loaded on the device from the server. As the field employee conducts their work and at such a point, finds any form of a telecommunication link (wireless, cellular, network etc), the mobile device can be synchronized with the server to accommodate data transfer.

We're not a large company like many of your clients, can we afford such a robust system?

The web-based SaaS (Software as a Service) model implies that a client's size is irrelevant. ICMS is sold on a subscription basis and the price model reflects client size and use. BCI has every profile of organization as a client, from the very large fortune 100 company to the independent operator.

What sort of system administration requirement is there?

We have developed many powerful administrative features that allow our clients to self-administer the system. BCI also offers a System Administration Service to clients that prefer we manage the data and users on their behalf.

What technology do I need to implement in order to use the system?

BCI hosts the server for our clients and all of the applications are web-based, meaning that there is no information technology infrastructure required. Users access the system via mobile or portable devices (Palm pilots, Windows Mobile devices, laptops or tablet PCs) or by using their web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc).

How quickly can we get going?

We have developed a standard implementation and training methodology that can enable users to become productive in as little as a few days. We offer off-the-shelf regulatory inspections, pre-built workflow templates, and configurable application interfaces that allow for very rapid deployment.
